I have found that, a garden arch, not only adds interest to a garden, but, with the right plants, can act as an aromatic divide between different areas of the garden.

An arch is also useful for adding height to a garden, drawing the eye off down a pathway or just to create a beautiful floral surround for a door.

A climbing rose is often a favourite used to cover a garden arch. Not only can the flowers be a beautiful focal point, but the fragrance can help calm the mind after a busy working day.

There are many shapes and sizes of garden arch to choose from.

Willow arches add a nice sense of rustic charm, while a solid cast iron arch will give a more solid and sturdy look for heavy climbing roses or honeysuckle.

You could even have a go at building your own arch. there are many places to get all the materials you will need. even your local garden centre will be able to provide the materials for a basic self build arch.

Whether a basic garden arch or maybe a bespoke design arch, if integrated properly into the overall style of the landscape design, a garden arch can be the perfect finishing touch to any garden.
